Summary: The students who are aspiring for SSC
Examination face lot of difficulties in understanding the pattern and syllabus
of the subjects being examined. It is
advisable to go through the SSC previous year test papers and analyze the
sequence and topics being asked in each section to have an idea about the SSC
Exam Pattern before appearing for the same.
It is generally observed that most of the candidates
who are applying for SSC Exam are not aware of the adequate knowledge required
to crack the exam. SSC Coaching in
Chandigarh and all over India has taken its tool in giving ample amount of
awareness by way of giving a mindset preparation for the same. Besides the SSC
Coaching in Chandigarh and other in other states of India, with reputed
centers still there lies some more knowledge which an aspirant must have while
preparing for the exam.
Let us discuss some of the important tips to score
better in SSC Exams while preparing for the same.
1.
Repetition
of questions by SSC from the previous year tests conducted.
From the research conducted by going
through the SSC previous year test papers, it is observed that SSC repeats its
questions and in almost all the sections (Reasoning, Maths, English and General
Awareness). It is advisable to go
through last 5-6 year question papers of SSC CGL, CHSL or any post that you are
applying for the same. While solving
these question papers of previous year you will experience that there are 3-4
questions in each section are repeated every year. It is therefore, advisable to solve Previous
Year Papers before appearing in any of the exam of SSC. In General English
Section, you will notice that the repeated questions are usually based on
vocabulary such as One-Word Substitution, Idioms/phrases, Synonyms, Antonyms
and also some parts of speech sections as Error finding, Correction of
sentences etc. In Quantitative Aptitude section, questions are generally
repeated on the topics like Mensuration, Trigonometry, Geometry and Algebra,
etc.
2.
Make General Awareness section more scoring:
The aspirants who find it
difficult to understand the method of learning History, Polity, Geography and
other topics related to general awareness section. It is better if they analyze the General
Studies or GK section of previous years of SSC CGL, CHSL or whichever exam they
are appearing. It will give them the
clarity as to what type of questions is repeated every year. Such as the topics like, the first in
India, Constitutional articles & amendments, commonly used chemicals, folk
dances of India etc. Analyzing the
pattern of asking the questions will enhance your score in the forthcoming
exams.
3. Intense practice and understand the basics of Quantitative
Aptitude is a must
Quantitative Aptitude section is taken
as the most difficult section by the aspirants for it being time
consuming. Topics like Arithmetic,
Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration and Trigonometry needs special tricks and shortcuts
to solve them quickly and accurately.
For those who believe that it is impossible to score good marks without
using Tricks and Shortcuts, should understand the fact that basic concepts
should be learned effectively rather than relying on the tricks or shortcuts.
Always remember that short
tricks can backfire or ditch you anytime if basics are not clear.
4. Importance of Current Affairs
for SSC Exam
The key subjects for General Awareness
Section of SSC Exam are History, Polity, Geography, Science and Economics , and
generally the questions are exclusively asked from these subjects. Nevertheless,
most of the students think that Current Affairs are a waste of time and ignore
the same. There are about 5-6 questions related to current affairs in this
section. These are related to the major
events of last 6 months approximately and one can easily score 5-6 marks if one
keeps oneself abreast with the latest news headlines from time to time.
I have
made an effort to make the students aware of the tips to be followed while
preparing for SSC Exam . Hope it will help those who are afraid of or
ignore the subjects which can give them marks
and can take them to the ROAD OF SUCCESS!!!!
All the
best!!!!!
