What are the probable reasons of delay in SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 and notification of SSC CGL 2018 ( TIER 1)?

Staff selection Commission released a notice regarding the extension of SSC CGL 2017 Tier2. The same can be seen by clicking on the link given below:

As you can see there is no particular reason or reasons specified in the official notification but many of aspirants are curious to know the probable reasons as they are waiting to join as an officer’s post as early as possible. Qualifying SSC CGL TIER 1 Exam and not getting the opportunity to appear in the qualifying exam which is Tier 2 have given MIDNIGHT BLUES to them. Now those who have qualified the prelims of SSC CGL 2017 Exam have to study and keep on revising till the next scheduled date of the examination which is extended for a month. Initially it was scheduled to be held from 18.1.2018 to 20.1.2018 but now it has been postponed and will be held from 17.2.2018 to 22.2.2018.

Although it is good news for those who did not prepare for SSC CGL 2017 tier 2 till date and they get more time to prepare now yet this delay does harm those aspirants who have prepared hard for the exam for a long time. The reasons for the unnecessary delays notified in the recent SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 Exam is not mentioned in their notification. But if we analyze the circumstances prevailing following probable reasons could have led to the delay in SSC CGL 2017 Tier 2 delay such as:

1. As SBI PO Exam and IBPS PO Exam pattern have been changed in the recent examinations held besides being online may be one of the reasons that SSC is also planning to change the Exam pattern for SSC CGL2018 Exam.
2. Probable change could be that SSC CGL Tier 1 is going to be the Qualifying exam.
3. SSC might abolish Interviews for Non-Gazetted post which was in the news recently as one of the policy to be adopted by the Central Government for the future government exams. It means that there will be no role of marks obtained in the Tier 1 Exam in the final merit.
4. The process of selection will be shortened as now the main purpose of Tier-1 is to shortlist the candidates for the Tier-2 Exam. Thereafter Tier 2, again wait for the result and then joining time.

5) SSC might introduce a separate exam of “Finance and Economics in Tier-2 stage for newly created post of Auditor.

These reasons are based on our assumptions made on the present day situation of employment procedure followed by various other public sector undertakings.
