How to enhance listening skills for IELTS?



IELTS is a test which is taken to examine the English language proficiency of the candidates applying for abroad studies. IELTS score enables candidates to get an opportunity of studying in 140 countries of the world which includes schools, universities, government departments, employers, immigration authorizes and other professional institutes. Although there is no competition as such in this test yet it needs a professional preparation as it is the gateway to enter into a country of your choice to pursue studies.  One should prepare to score well in IELTS.
IELTS is held in two versions-
  1. Academic
  2. General Training

Listening section pattern of IELTS
Listening section of IELTS is one of the major sections of IELTS Tests. It comprises of four sections with 40 items. It is very essential to prepare this section separately and work extensively to enhance the listening skills.

Some of the essential preparation tips for Listening section are:
1.One-to-one communication: 
It is an interaction between two persons where one is asked to note down exact details from the conversation between them.  The best way to practice for listening skills is to listen to various conversations and news bulletins. After listening to the matter carefully note down the same in your own words the details of the same. This practice will help you enhance your vocabulary and comprehension skills.

2.Listen to various speech: 
In this section, the candidates have to listen to a speech and answer to the questions related to it. 3. Monologue:
