Cloze test
is an exercise, test, or assessment comprising of a passage taken from any
discussion, essay or topic with certain words removed and replaced by blanks.
In banking
examinations, the cloze test passage is usually based on banking, economics or
commerce based topics or discussions.
Here the applicant is examined with a view to
replace the missing words in order to test his or her verbal and language
reasoning.
Cloze tests
need the ability to understand context and vocabulary in order to recognize the
correct words or type of words that belong in the deleted passages of a text.
This exercise is commonly managed for the assessment of native and second
language learning and instruction.
How to solve
the cloze tests?
1. Firstly, read the complete passage
with blanks and get a rough idea about the content or the subject and the
spirit or the tone of the passage.
2. In a passage generally the entire
sentence are rationally associated with each other. These logics will provide
you an idea about the appropriate word for the blank space.
3. On certain occasions, it will easy
to spot the correct answer, if you get the answer immediately mark it. If not
then eliminate the doubtful options one by one and get the right answer.
